Require a Written Scheme of Examination produced by a competent person. The individual scheme will determine the frequency and nature of thorough examinations.

EXAMINATIONS & INSPECTIONS
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Thorough Examinations are NOT “Insurance Inspections”

It is a common misconception that these are “insurance inspections”. Your insurance company may or may not require to see evidence that these examinations have been carried out.

Crucially however you do not have to have the examinations done by the Insurance Company.

The reports that we issue are confidential to you and are not “insurance inspections” they are issued to satisfy statutory requirements. Whilst our reports will also satisfy any requirements of your liability insurer, this is incidental to the primary reason for examinations namely the safety of your plant & protection from prosecution under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

Plant Inspection Services are able to provide a comprehensive, cost effective, examination service independent of your insurer, supplier or maintenance provider.

A “thorough examination” of your lifting equipment, pressure vessel, or extraction system is a legal requirement and should be part of your company Health & Safety Policy not your insurance policy

The responsibility for identifying and arranging these examinations is yours. If you are in any doubt find out! Please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to provide guidance without obligation.
